Perkins Coie has been working in China since 1971 when we represented Boeing in selling commercial airplanes to the Chinese government in one of the first transactions between a U.S. company and China.

We assist U.S. and Chinese companies with their patent and trademark procurement in the U.S. and China. Unlike most other international law firms, the focus of our China offices is on intellectual property. As a result, we have a large IP team in China that has extensive experience representing multinational companies in patent and trademark procurement, strategy and litigation in China. Many members of our China team are qualified as Chinese patent attorneys. These attorneys are very familiar with the procedures and strategies for Chinese patent prosecution and litigation, as well as invalidity proceedings before the Patent Review Board (PRB), and regularly advise clients on litigation strategy in China.
